Ask any woman about her menstrual cycle, and you’re likely to get a groan and a laundry list of confusing symptoms and confounding experiences. Women’s health can feel complex and even hopeless for those struggling with chronic hormone-related conditions, but MyFlo app creator and Flo Living founder Alisa Vitti believes it doesn’t have to.

The New York Times recently profiled Alisa for her whole-health approach to women’s hormones. Alisa has dedicated her career to educating women about the role lifestyle and nutrition play in their health through empowering them to nurture and get to know their bodies via cycle syncing.

The article explains that cycle syncing involves tailoring your food, movement and other daily choices to the four phases of your menstrual cycle (luteal, menstrual, follicular and ovulatory). Alisa herself attributes this process to healing her lifelong struggle with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and has translated this information from her popular book WomanCode into the MyFlo app.

While the article shares the varying points of view from medical professionals around the role nutrition plays in regulating and balancing hormones, the testimonials shared by women who have been impacted by Alisa’s work are resoundingly positive. From reversing infertility to healing crippling premenstrual pain, women are taking back their power and improving their health through understanding their cycles and catering to their body’s unique needs.

We are proud of Alisa’s work and grateful to have partnered with her on the MyFlo app.
