Forbes Magazine Recognizes Pumpspotting for Disrupting Business-As-Usual

Amy Van Haren, CEO and Founder of Pumpspotting

Women shouldn’t have to choose between nourishing their babies or nurturing their careers, and this week media-heavyweight Forbes magazine highlighed pumpspotting for their role in disrupting the separation between breastfeeding and the board room.

In the article, pumpspotting CEO and Founder Ava Vanharen talks about the sheer number of hours women spend nursing and pumping and how much of that time happens at work. As a social networking app for nursing moms, pumpspotting is focused on not only making it logistically easier for moms to pump during business travel but to also connect nursing mothers in the workplace through their employer-sponsored lactation programs.

Forbes highlights the complexity of nursing for women in business and the incredible opportunity pumpspotting and other femtech innovators have for helping to solve these issues. With increased focus on lactation programs through corporate and government initiatives, it's an exciting time for innovation and support for nursing mothers.

There's still a long way to go in providing women the kind of nursing experience they deserve, but we're proud of the strides pumpspotting is making to make worklife and momlife both compatible and enjoyable.
