We're thinking about growth differently

WLCM was named #50 on the Fast 100, the SF Business Times' list of the fastest growing private companies in SF. The timing of these awards (this and Inc.'s equivalent list, to which we were named in March of this year) is interesting for us, because it's happening as virtually our entire team becomes refugees.

I think it's a good idea to be intentional about the metrics we choose to measure our success in business. Those we inherit are revenue and profit, but we can choose otherwise.

I believe that growth is important, but we've redefined growth for ourselves over here. This year, we've decided to focus on joy.

As a part of that pursuit, we've reinvested our profits into internal projects that we're building for the fun of it. These projects, which are happening under the umbrella of "WLCM Joy Labs" also help us explore new territory (animation and sound design, for example, and scrollytelling on mobile!) and test our hypotheses.

Our first app will launch Feb 24, the anniversary of Russia's invasion. Its entire purpose is to make toddler's giggle, and to raise money for kiddos.
